About Threshold

Threshold is a curated web directory maintained in the tradition of the library card catalog. Where search engines rank by popularity and relevance signals, Threshold catalogues by subject section, presenting each holding with equal standing in a flat, browsable index. The result is a reference tool that rewards deliberate browsing as much as targeted searching.

The directory holds 828 approved entries organised across 22 discrete subject sections covering professional services, health and medicine, computing and technology, financial services, travel and leisure, and a broad miscellaneous section for holdings that resist primary classification. Each entry has been submitted directly by the site operator and reviewed before assignment to the appropriate section.

Threshold does not assign scores, star ratings, or editorial rankings to its holdings. The card-catalog tradition prizes completeness and systematic organisation over curation by popularity. Accordingly, the same care is taken over a five-entry section such as Land and Property as over the 190-entry General Reference section.

Submitting a resource to the Threshold catalog is straightforward and costs nothing. Visit the submission form, provide your site URL and a brief description, and choose the section that best matches your content. After a brief editorial check, approved entries are added to the live index.

The catalog is updated on a rolling basis. New submissions are reviewed as they arrive and added in order of approval, with no waiting period beyond the initial review.
